Girls and Boys are different

My favorite avocation is the study of human behavior. More specifically, I love to do amateur analyses of the social styling of contemporary American culture.

I see, finally that there is a difference between boys and girls. And despite all the efforts to erase it over the last 40-50 years, that difference exhibits a stubborn persistence among adult men and women.

Boys, if offered a doll house and some dolls, will place the dolls on the ridge of the house roof and immediately knock them off or try to blow the house up.

Girls, if presented with a toy truck, will park it in front of their imaginary friend’s doll house and go inside the house to have a tea party.

Similarly, men like to lie on the couch and watch TV while their wives do the dishes.

My wife thinks this makes perfect sense. (?)

My son’s future wife doesn’t like this observation.

Love is a many splendored thing.
